Organization of Customs

 

The Organizational Structure Consists of:
 
  1. Director General

  2. Two Assistants:

    • Assistant for Computer, financial, and administrative affairs

    • Assistant for Customs affairs

  3. 17 Directorates

  4. 28 Customs Offices distributed according to the duties operated by the following groups:

First:
Customs Clearance Offices :

  • Clearance of imports

  • Clearance of exports

  • Clearance of goods under suspended duties status


Such Customs offices operate clearance on the following documents:

  • Circulation status

  • Exports declaration

  • Re-exportation Declaration

  • Temporary admission declaration

  • Bonded admission declaration

  • Bonded release declaration

  • Transit declaration

Second:
Border Customs Offices:
Border Customs Offices are responsible of providing Customs services, collecting Customs duties and the other taxes due on incoming goods within the permitted limits, and supervising and controlling goods.
