JCD participates in the WCO meetings In Brussels
Jordan Customs Department (JCD), represented by its Director General, Customs Major General Jalal Al-Qudah, participated in the 139th/140th Sessions of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Council and the WCO's 86th Policy Commissions Session, which were held in Brussels, Belgium from 23 to 25 June 2022.
The meetings, which were attended by the Directors General of the 184 Member Customs administrations of WCO Council, assessed the work carried out by the WCO Members and the Secretariat since t03/07/2022JCD launches prior approvals project for import, export and transit
The Director General of Jordan Customs Department (JCD), Maj. Gen. Jalal Al- Qudah announced the launch of the prior approvals project for import, export and transit.

Customs officers working at Al- Karama customs center, in coordination with the security services, thwarted an attempt to smuggle (21) kg of heroin, in addition to (2) kg of crystal Meth.
Customs officers seized the drugs during inspection of a truck coming from one of the neighboring countries. The drugs were concealed tightly in an iron plate inside the truck's exhaust system (exhaust), which was specially prepared for this purpose.
